Michael Murray – Clinical Director

MM Physiotherapy founded by Mike Murray qualified with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy at the University of Salford via the Professional Footballer Association (PFA) following his time as a player at Rochdale AFC. Mike continued playing semi professionally following his time at Rochdale whilst studying for his degree. In this time he also became an accredited personal trainer, working 1 to 1 with clients & also with local GP’s overseeing exercise referral schemes. Mikes expertise lies with high level rehabilitation, experience & understanding of standards set at professional & amateur level sport and also the everyday worker. He continues to compete as a golfer at district level & for his clubs scratch team maintaining a handicap of 2/3. Mike applies his playing knowledge & skills with golf specific biomechanical analysis to promote prehabilitation/ rehabilitation of movement dysfunction in runners, footballers & golfers. His high clinical standards and friendly approach make for a professional and relaxed experience for helping patients return to their optimum health & fitness.

Sally Jones – Senior Physiotherapist

Sally comes from a background in football captaining her county to the national championships, Welsh side TNS from the age of 18 and being selected for the England development squad as a youngster.

Sally’s expertise lie in testing sports injuries as well as the every day individual/worker.

Sally spent time working in private practise in Australia with a specific focus on pain management advancing her treatment techniques greatly.

Sally is a much valued member of the MM physiotherapy team and looks forward to helping you on your road to recovery.

Rebecca Vale – Senior Physiotherapist

Becca qualified with a BSc Hons from the university of Huddersfield in 2008. She briefly worked in the NHS before undertaking her MSc in Sports Injury Physiotherapy alongside working in the private sector. She has worked with local Rugby clubs treating both acute pitchside injuries and more chronic conditions. Her high level expertise and approach to rehabilitation of injuries are what make her a valued asset in her role here at MM Physiotherapy in helping all our patients combat their physical injury.
Outside of work she is an experienced horse rider and competes her horse at National Intermediate level and International CCI** level, with the aim to continue to progress further. Her experience in horse riding provides our equine patients confidence with her ability to screen/ diagnose and rehabilitate their injuries on their way back into the saddle.
Becca is also a level 2 qualified Pilates instructor. Rebecca brings a wealth of experience to the MM Physiotherapy team and her highest clinical standards will get you on your road to recovery.

Harriet Stott – Junior Physiotherapist/ Sports Massage Therapist  

Harriet comes from a background of gymnastics and cheerleading and have competed at a national level. She is a level 3 ITEC in sports massage therapist & provided treatment for a number of clients with a range of problems.
Harriet has worked for local rugby clubs providing hands on treatment for ongoing injury management, rehabilitation and game preparation. Harriet joins us as a Junior Physiotherapist in the summer from the University of Huddersfield and have specific interests in deep tissue work and sports injury rehabilitation.
Her friendly approach, work ethic and clinical approach makes her a perfect acquisition to the team at MM Physiotherapy.

Laura Harrow – Clinic Receptionist/ Manager

Laura is a graduate from Edge Hill University where she studied Child Health & Well-being. Her understanding and awareness of healthcare systems and also her organisation skills are a key asset to MM Physiotherapy. In Laura’s spare time she enjoys going to the gym and swimming.
Laura is a qualified swimming teaching level 1 & 2 instructor and enjoys teaching children to swim at our Todmorden practice site alongside her role at MM Physiotherapy.
Laura also loves outdoor activities and spends a lot of time fell running to maintain a her high level of fitness. Laura has achieved completion of her Duke of Edinburgh bronze and silver award underlining her commitment to outdoor activities. She is very approachable, friendly member of staff who will be the first face you see when visiting our Todmorden clinic she is a valuable asset to MM Physiotherapy.
